Tina Moore's "At Last," A Most Underappreciated Version

Etta James "At Last," is one of those songs that everyone knows and would consider a classic. A timeless track that defines her legacy, a song that has graced weddings, life achievements, love, and more. Years later and many covers in between, Beyonce would gain notice with her rendition coinciding with her performance as Etta James in the 2008 movie,"Cadillac Records." I didn't discover this version of "At Last" by Tina Moore until a few months ago. My admiration for anything mid 90s R&B and Hip Hop often leads me to gems such as this one. I feel I know a lot about music in that time frame but with so much out there, there will continually be songs and artists that you don't remember or have yet to listen to. Tina Moore falls into that category. Spotify's "Discover Weekly"custom playlist is what helped me come across one of her other songs, "Never Gonna Let You Go," which led me to check out the rest of her self titled 1995 album. It was during that listening that I heard her rendition of "At Last," and how flawless she sounds with her cover of the 1960 classic. To truly appreciate her voice I suggest hearing this song on a good speaker system and not via cell phone. Sometimes the true quality of a song gets lost when choose the fast route and click the links on our cell phones. Well, unless you're streaming to another system, which would be just as good. Do yourself favor and check out Tina Moore's gem......
